House of Earth and Blood (CC Book 1)
I read this book last year but to be honest, I don't remember much of it. With the next ACOTAR book on the horizon, I've been advised I need to finish the Crescent City series in preparation. I have heard rumors of a multi-verse crossover situation, so I continue to trdudge through this series. I am not of the mind (like so many others Ive seen) who hate this series due to the world-setting etc. None of that bothers me much. Admittedly, I just miss my girl Nesta. ACOTAR will always live in the back of my head. Perhaps unfair to this series, so I will continue with it.I did retain more of this book this time around and will begin re-reading book two. It is book three that I have not read at all as far as I recall.

Carl's Doomsday Scenario (DCC Book 2)
I am already so glad I stuck with this series. Book two, much to my friend's encouragement and credit, is indeed better than book 1. I was totally locked-in out the gate. The entire circus and "Vengeance of the Daughter" segments had me gagged. I really love seeing Carl's character growth and Princes Donut's evolution. I consumed this one within 3 days, super fast read for me.

Dungeon Crawler Carl (Book 1)
So I had picked up this book after numerous folks I love had recommended it to me. I was coming out of my PHM hangover and was desperate for something to fill the void. This did not do that. The tonal shift from PHM to DCC was jarring. I started and then DNF twice. But I forced myself to try a third time. Surely all the people I love know something I don't. And let me tell you, they were correct. Admittedly, I was told book 2 is better than 1, and having been an ACOTAR girly, I believed that and stuck with it and am so glad I did. To be frank, if you consider DCC to have something akin to a Borderlands tone, it makes it a bit easier to connect with for me personally. Princess Donut fan. I've started book 2 and look forward to trying to finish all the books before the show comes out! :)

Project Hail Mary
I read this one on a whim to prepare for the movie and I'm so glad I did. I did a mix of traditional reading and the audiobook (which was wonderful). Though I admit I wasn't thrilled about crying in the middle of an intersection while I was listneing to the book on my way home from work. The chokehold Rocky had on me was unreal. I really adored this book and was frankly dissappointed in the movie's changes to the tone and pace. The hangover this book gave me has remained unresolved. I'm still on the hunt for a sci-fi book that can tickle my brain the same way.
